After the devastation of the sea turtle nests due to motorized vehicles driving on the beaches for a decade, the local association and residents of  AMAGA, Friends of Garapua along together with the local authorities " Prefeiruta de cairu " have agreed  to STOP the destruction of the Eco-system in the Tinhare Island and will support this special project financed by Ocean Brazil to transfer new sea turtle nests to Garapua, Bahia. 

Ocean Brazil, A non-profit organization is committing to finance $10,000/ Month for 48 months for the Brazilian O.N.G Tamar to specifically transfer new sea turtle nests as well as eggs to GARAPUA and provide daily maintenance and monthly public support .
